Long Distance - Using Carrier of Choice
People who have a preferred long distance carrier for making direct calls to often find that they cannot use
that carrier when making a long distance call through Maryland Relay.
Maryland Relay is working to increase the number of long distance carriers (see list below) that can be used
through Maryland Relay.

If your preferred choice of long distance company does not make its service available
through Maryland Relay, here's what you can do to help:
- Contact your preferred long distance company and ask them to provide their services when you make a long distance call through the Maryland Relay.
- If your preferred long distance company has questions about providing their services through the Maryland Relay, tell them to contact Pam Stewart at the Maryland Relay Customer Service by dialing 1-800-552-7724 or send email to pam@mdrelay.org.
- If you have any problem or are unable to contact your preferred long distance company, contact us.
