Who Uses Maryland Relay:
Individuals Who Are Deaf Spanish Speakers

QUESTION: English is not the primary language in my/our household. My first language is Spanish. Can I use relay service?

ANSWER: Language should not be a barrier to using the relay. Maryland Relay provides bilingual Spanish operators to process Relay calls for Spanish TTY and Voice users.

Spanish speaking TTY and Voice users can dial 1-800-877-1264 for all calls anywhere in the U.S., including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Spanish-speakers wishing to use 900 Pay-Per-Call, dial 7-1-1 or 1-800-877-1264.

Is 7-1-1 accessible for Spanish Relay users?

7-1-1 is available for all types of relay including Spanish Relay. If customers prefer "quick access", they can continue to dial the specific toll free 800 number for Spanish Relay.
